I can now reveal exclusive inside info about Final Fantasy… VII!Final Fantasy VII will be getting a “new” version of the classic game from the massive franchise and it will be exclusive (for now at least) to the PLAYSTATION 3. It is unclear whether a new version will be a simple remake or an extension to the original like Crisis Core, and if it will be a Blu-ray release, or on the PSN. Something else which won’t be exclusive is the original FF7 which will be coming to the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade by the end of the year.
Both of this info will be officially announced at either Square Enix’s August conference in Japan, or the Tokyo Game Show.
PSLS lists all of our inside info under rumor until it becomes official.
We have been an update to the information on the Final Fantasy Info. If there will be a ânewâ PS3 version of Final Fantasy 7, it WILL NOT be a remake. There is likely to be a spin-off or a sequel to this popular game and exclusive to the PS3. I extremely apologise about getting some of your hopes up about the FF7 remake.
It appears that the Trophies have been optimized and are loading much quicker now. "This update improves the playback quality of some PLAYSTATION 3 and PlayStation format software."
Najciekawszy fragment: "As a parting shot, I asked about chicks in this new game. [...]
“Well, we thought about…” Capps starts to say. The EA handler sits up and Capps switches to, “Ah! I can’t, I can’t! You almost got me!”
Almost. The option to play as a girl? Co-op female sidekick? Gotta wait a little longer for more details to leak out.
But seriously – Epic – give me Ellen Ripley and exploding unicorns. Is that so much to ask?"

Seed Studios, who completed three Nintendo DS titles, have today announced a project in development for the PLAYSTATION 3 platform. The project will be present along with Seed Studios at Leipzig GC '08 this year to showcase the game to some possible publishers.
[...]SingStar track compatibility across PS2 & PS3 is enabled via the Disc Swap feature. [...] While playing a SingStar PS3 disc, at the song select screen, hit the [select] button to swap discs and play the songs from the inserted disc. The songs are not saved to the hard drive. [...] This new feature will work with all current PS3 system models and does not require a system software update. playstation.blog
