Stacja Starz ogłosiła oficjalnie datę rozpoczęcia produkcji nad pierwszym sezonem serialu "Boss", którego autorami są Gus Van Sant oraz Farhad Safinia ("Apocalypto").

 

Będzie to debiut reżyserski w serialu dla oscarowego Gusa Van Santa. Pierwszy sezon, który ma mieć 8 odcinków, zadebiutuje jesienią.

 

Grammer wcieli się w burmistrza miasta Chicago, któremu zdiagnozowano chorobę degeneracyjną mózgu. Wie o niej tylko on i jego lekarz. Projekt inspirowany Królem Lirem umiejscowiony jest w politycznej maszynie Chicago.

 

W obsadzie są również Connie Nielsen ("Gladiator"), Jeff Hephner, Alex Zając, Hannah Ware i Kathleen Robertson. Farhad Safinia, Kelsey Grammer, Gus Van Sant, Brian Sher i Stella Stolper będą producentami wykonawczymi.

 

Van Sant wyreżyseruje kilka odcinków.
