    Magazyn GameInformer przeprowadził interesujący wywiad z Tedem Pricem z Insomniac. Całość dotyczyła Resistance 2, który jest obecnie przygotowywany na PLAYSTATION 3. Poniżej możecie przeczytać mocno skrótowe tłumaczenie wypowiedzi Teda:

     

    Przy tworzeniu Resistance patrzeliśmy na FPS w ujęciu ogólnym. Myśleliśmy, co możemy zrobić, żeby pchnąć Resistance 2 dalej. Doszliśmy do wniosku, że musimy połączyć wszystkie elementy charakterystyczne dla gatunku: tryb kampanii, tryb kooperacji, pojedynki online oraz społeczność graczy w jedną całość. Fabuła, historia opowiedziana w Resistance 2 musi idealnie pasować do tych wszystkich trybów gry, to coś, czego nie udało się stworzyć do tej pory w żadnym FPSie. Do tego od dnia premiery ma działać społeczność graczy w Resistance 2. Tym razem możemy znacznie usprawnić aspekty techniczne gry: lepsze oświetlenie, więksi bossowie, usprawnione AI przeciwników. Znacznie rozwiniemy wątek fabularny, znajdziecie odpowiedź na pytania typu: „skąd pochodzą chimery, czemu zaatakowały ziemię?”. Fabuła będzie się rozwijać w trakcie przemierzania leveli, będzie zintegrowana z grą i nie stanowi jedynie tła dla rozgrywki. Tryb online dla 60 graczy będzie powiązany fabularnie z grą, otrzymacie konkretne zadania do wykonania, wiele z nich będzie wymagać działania zespołowego – w kilku teamach.

    UK Hardware Totals:

    Screen Digest, the media research company, estimates that in Britain in 2007, 7,000 Blu-ray players were sold. However, the Blu-ray was incorporated within Sony’s PlayStation 3, which sold about 754,000 consoles. This compared with 15,000 HD DVD players and 40,000 HD DVD drives built to attach to the Xbox console.

     

    Though there were many more Blu-ray players thanks to sales of the PlayStation 3, the discs sold (470,000 Blu-Ray discs, 200,000 HD DVDs) indicated a more even contest. Equally, the great technology war appears something of a minority interest, when compared with the 250 million DVDs that sold.
