16 play music that you would probably skull fuck to. It's a relentless barrage of hate, angst and aggression. The band members have bad attitudes, drug problems and jail sentences. They are all pissed off to the max. Comprising of ten songs that pretty much all sound the same: a relentless industrial strength bilge of Stoner Rock and Grunge featuring huge de-tuned guitars riffs and well you know the rest and a press release that bestows such words of wisdom like "the pre-requisite raping and pillaging of Japan" after releasing seven-inches and foreign EPs somewhere in the world. 16 also manage to make the listeners eyes bleed and give them swollen holes??? (nudge nudge!!!)

 

16's music is instantly forgettable and not that good. This CD lasted about six songs before it was ejected in hasty fashion from the CD player. You see life is tough enough without being reminded of it through the sonic hate destruction of 16. "This band" and once again I draw the reader's attention to the press release, "are just awesome and have produced some quite startlingly classic songs". No they haven't and never will.

 

By the way the band is going to sodomize Europe in 2004, which motions an interesting point. The press release says lock up your daughters surely that should read sons! (Online January 1, 2004)
