As stated in an interview that was reported by Metal Injection, Shawn "Clown" Crahan revealed that the band is preparing for the new Slipknot album as early as now after he stated that they are writing new songs as of the moment while they are on the road. "But we're writing now," Crahan said of the new Slipknot album. "We're in the rhythm of writing all the time, which is a very helpful tool, because we love doing that. So it's not a waste of time. It's not anything that won't get used. Usually, if we're writing, it's passion."
