Blues News spotted the latest hardware survey over on the Steam site where a number of different details are outlined. One of those details includes exactly what resolution is the standard (or majority) resolution for the Glorious PC Master Race… it’s not 8K, it’s not 4K, it’s not 2K… it’s 1920 x 1080.

Coming in at a close second is 1366 x 768. This ties into the fact that a lot of Steam users are actually… dun, dun, dun… laptop gamers. Yes, 1366 x 768 is a laptop resolution.

While 32.89% of the GPCMR are rocking 1920 x 1080 – equivalent to the big AAA titles (or some of them at least) on the PS4 and Xbox One – 25.60% of Steam users are struggling to surpass the 1366 x 768 standard. Embarrassingly enough, that’s actually lower than the welfare resolution of 1408 x 792 that Titanfall rocks.

So, what’s poorer than welfare? Whatever is below that median that’s what 25.60% of Steam users are settled with.

I can’t express just how disappointed I am with such a large portion of the Glorious PC Gaming Community… except, maybe we should call it the General Assistance PC Gaming Community? Because obviously 1366 x 768 on a laptop is pretty piss-poor.

Nevertheless, it’s nice to see that 32.89% representing native 1080 and not 1080i or 960 x 1080. They’re paving the way to show that 1920 x 1080 is the way things should be, and they’re showing that PC is still the place to be for all your high-end gaming action… Shovel Knight at 1080p, that’s how it’s done, yo.

Hola, hola! 100% graczy korzystających ze steama MOŻE odpalać gry w 1080p (chyba, że ktoś gra na kompie z czasów kiedy nie było gier obsługujących takie rozdziałki) i nie każdy kto gra na XO gra w 1080p, chyba, że już każdy ma ekran full hd. Przykro mi, nadal PC wygrywa o ten 1% grających w rozdziałce, której nie zobaczymy nawet na tapecie w XO.

A ja mam w du.pie te 4k.

No i widzisz, po co zaczynasz, jak nie masz racji. Od pół roku byłem w rozjazdach i od grudnia do maja prawie nie grałem na konsoli, odpaliłem w celu sprawdzenia i tak leży biedak na lepsze czasy, w wiedźmina też przestałem grać bo nie mam czasu, a dwóch takich gier w jednym momencie nie będę męczyć. No ale EOT...

Także tego, mówi osoba, która gra tylko w Halo, a exy od microsoftu pograne od 3 do 5 godzin, a przecież takie one dobre i znacznie lepsze. O przepraszam, Ryse coś tam pograne więcej.
