Although not mentioned in the conference, Xbox's UK marketing director Harvey Eagle said that the "Kinect does require to be connected to Xbox One in all cases, yes,". However, a Microsoft representative has since walked this back, saying "It is not always watching or always listening... you can turn the system completely off. This would use no power and turn everything off. We’ll share more details about how it all works later."

Essentially, Microsoft has increased the number of force feedback motors in the Xbox One controller, allowing for more subtle rumble in localised parts of the pad. In one FPS-style demo we played, a virtual hand held out a pistol. Firing the pistol with the controller's right trigger resulted in simulated recoil occurring on just that part of the controller.

In another demo, which had the same virtual hand magically spawn a fire ball, we could 'feel' the explosive projectile explode from the centre of the controller and out towards your fingers. It was an impressive effect.

Other demos better showed off the feature's application as a gameplay enhancement. One allowed us to start the engine of a supercar with the Y button, causing the Xbox One controller to cough and splutter realistically as the virtual engine sparked to life

In another section showing a close up of the vehicle's wheels, the controller pulsed to simulated bumps in the road surface, and then violently clanged as the anti-lock breaks kicked in.

Finally, a simple demo featuring a human figure caused the controller to simulate a heartbeat, directly on the corresponding spot of the pad on the top right hand corner. It's been suggested the subtlety of Xbox One's force feedback could be used to find secrets of even indicate the direction of enemy fire in next-gen games.

Every journalist we spoke to at Microsoft's Redmond event agreed; the Xbox One controller feels like a big improvement over its 360 predecessor.

In comfort, the pad's handles feel more angular and better defined, screw holes and seam lines have been removed and the 360's bulky battery pack has been rotated 90 degrees and absorbed inside the controller. The latter means the Xbox One pad feels lighter, with weight better distributed across the peripheral.

From a functionality perspective, fans will be pleased to hear that the much-criticised d-pad of the current console has been redesigned and now feels tighter and more accurate with buttons presses rewarded with a satisfying click. The analogue sticks too have had their dead zones minimised significantly, says Microsoft.

Podoba mi się że A,B,Y,X nie są już kolorowe jak żelki a zostały przyciemnione.

Pady wyglądają ,naprawdę genialnie ,prosto, skromnie i klasycznie. A nie jakiś świecący  cudak rodem z filmów sci-fi z lat 80 (wiecie o jaki chodzi).

 

No cóż chyba nowy xbox będzie posiadał tylko 5 GB RAMu. Szkoda ,ale do premiery konsoli jeszcze bardzo dużo czasu ,więc MS może cos jeszcze zmienić

Impulse Triggers – Xbox One’s Wireless Controller sports four vibration motors – a small one behind each trigger that adds precise haptic feedback to the finger tips, and a larger in each grip for large scale rumbles. This gives users a sense of in-game directionality and depth, creating rich, immersive experiences where gunshots, car crashes and explosions can come to life.


Higher Quality Headset Audio – The data transfer rate between the controller and console has been improved, allowing for higher fidelity audio in communication headsets. In-game chat over Xbox Live, according to the team, will be in many cases clearer than talking on a phone.

Revamped Thumbsticks – The thumbsticks are built for precision and comfort. They’re smaller and outlined with a knurled texture for better grip. Competitive gamers will be pleased to hear the sticks require 25 percent less force to move, allowing you to adjust your aim in a first-person shooter or execute a half-circle sweep in a fighting game faster and more accurately. The controller also uses advanced electronics that reduce thumbstick deadzone in the center.

Brand New D-Pad – The old Xbox 360 D-pad is replaced by a new design that pays homage to classic controllers and is architectured to deliver more precision and tactile feedback for gaming. The D-pad’s cross shape is honed to provide accurate cardinal direction input, sweeping movements and combinations – important factors for sports and fighting games, and other experiences.

Buttons, Buttons, Buttons – The A, B, X and Y buttons are lower to the controller with tighter spacing, making the transition between each one smoother. A new, three-step manufacturing process gives these buttons a more premium look, as if the letters on them are suspended in 3-D space. The size and placement of the Xbox button has also changed so the view and menu buttons are more accessible.

Seamless Connectivity – Each controller uses a combination of invisible reflective technology and LEDs to send a patterned infrared signal to your console and Kinect sensor. Not only does this make pairing the devices seamless, but it enables Kinect to associate the controller with whoever is holding it. This introduces innovative experiences, such as player switching, where a split screen display can swap positions on the TV if users change seats on the couch.

Low Power State – If you’re watching a movie or need to step away from the TV, the controller enters a low power state that conserves your battery. The moment you pick it up again, it will be ready for use without having to resynch with the console.

Refined for Comfort – The controller’s design is deliberately honed to the closest tenth of a millimeter to offer the most comfortable fit in users’ hands, and was tested extensively by a broader age group than ever before to ensure it is optimized for as many people as possible. According to the team’s research, this improves gameplay performance and allows comfortable gaming for longer periods of time.

Angled Triggers and Bumpers – The triggers and bumpers are carefully designed for performance and comfort. The specific angling allows for a natural fit for your fingers, and the triggers require a lighter pull, so squeezing it repeatedly is an easier and more precise action.

Internal Battery Cavity –The compartment that houses AA batteries is built into the interior of the controller, providing more room at the bottom for your fingers to grip. Another convenient improvement is that the controller is both wireless and a wired– simply plug it into your console with a mini USB cable and the connection automatically switches to preserve battery life.

W skrócie, zasadą blokowanie używek z wyjątkami pozostającymi w gestii wydawców.

czyli sprawa używanych gier zostaje w rękach wydawców jak u soniacza, ale ujnia  :confused:  MS nie ma z tego żadnej kasy tak więc strzelam że to nacisk wydawców.

 

Ciekawi to udostępnienie swojej biblioteki gier 10 osobom ''z rodziny'' na innych konsolach, czuje że będzie zakładanie wielu kont i niezłe wałki z tym. Wiadomo że w danej chwili to może być aktywne na jednej konsoli ale na więcej konkretów trzeba czekać.

Czyli w skrócie, to co jest standardem na PC wchodzi na poletko konsol. Dobrze, że przynajmniej będzie można bliskim znajomym gry pożyczać. Już widzę te składki na 10 osób przy cyfrowych premierach, 10 gier w cenie jednej  :P Ciekawe czy na to też mają sposób.

UPDATE: Microsoft has now detailed the limited Day One Edition of Xbox One, available for those who reserve the system at parti(pipi)ting retailers.

 

You'll get a limited edition Xbox One Day One branded controller, and a unique commemorative Day One Achievement, plus in-game DLC for a number of launch titles.

 

In Ryse: Son of Rome you'll get an exclusive multiplayer map and sword with bonus attributes. For Forza Motorsport 5 you get access to four cars tuned to the top of their class. In Kinect Sports Rivals you get exclusive sporting equipment and in Dead Rising 3 you'll get exclusive Frank West and Chuck Greene Tribute Packs with bonus attributes.

 

Xbox Live Gold will remain a subscription service, priced the same each month, although you will now get two free games a month on Xbox 360.

Niestety... wsteczna kompatybilność, brak DRM, brak blokady regionalnej, nowe PS+ na start Drive Club... WTF microsoft? Będzie płacz po premierze pewno dopiero - a po konfie MS zacząłem się skłaniać w ich strone, ale Sony rozbiło stawke :confused:

 

 

Heheszki, xbox jakby nie patrzeć ma wszystko to samo - tylko w odwrotną strone  :D

wiecie co mam wywalone na korporacje i interesuja mnie jedynie gry, ale tym razem ms pojechal po bandzie za mocno...juz nie chodzi mi o blokade uzywek ale o to polaczenie z siecia raz na 24h by grac...czyli co po xx latch gdy xone przestanie byc wspierany i odetna serwery posiadacze zostana z cegla pod tv i masa pudelek z grami ktorych nawet nie da sie odpalic....dziekuje ale postoje....mialem w jakims momencie zakupic nowego xa dla exow ale nie chce zostac kiedys z kupa smieci za grube pieniadze....
